It's to replace credit cards, PayPal, BitCoin, etc.
CCs and PayPal are too expensive. BitCoin costs too much too (the cost of generating new coins and verifying old coins) and encourages tax evasion. Taler hopes to get around all those problems. Will it work? Dunno. Cheers, Scott. |

Impressive goals, that's for sure.
It would change banking as we know it. Sitting in the middle and siphoning off some of the flow is their game. Not to mention fees for questionable services.
