Many twists over the half-century: having saved the three cubs, then.. after the unprecedented bonding, having to experiment, learn how to return them to the wild. This while reading the changes in odds for survival of whole species, as population encroached into most former sanctuaries.

Decent recap, in just an hour, for any who wondered about Elsa back-stories, all along. WHile the movie had to deal with many intractable problems of individual animals, some scary including tragic, its worldwide acclaim must have educated many who'd never had a thought about an emotional-life in any animal, let alone interspecies.
(George's query, near his end too ..whether there will be any young Kenyans to take over next? caring for the animals.)

Theme throughout: the remarkable Elsa and their story created (for most) the first awareness, proof of the Individuality of animals; not "lions' but This lion or That lion, a concept even yet, hardly universal in our species, now so disconnected from either the concept or, anything Wild. Strange future, when cgi may be the only remnants, non-Beings all. (Maybe a Trilliionaire will step forward?)

Bon appetít.
