Post #3,920 by kmself 8/6/01 3:32:36 AM Reply	Active thread escalation (float?) Not sure what a good term for this is. At EZBoard, threads in a forum would float to top if they were currently active. I found this to be one fo the things I liked about the site -- it allowed people to go back to old material and make it current, it also allowed stinker topics to drop, literally, in the standings. The in-forum activity highlights areas of current activity. It's mildly noxious where old, long, threads are dredged up, some sort of contextual trimming might be useful in this case, but that can be handled seperately. I don't like having to hunt downpage for current, but buried, threads, under a bunch of static material (no, not you, Wade). -- Karsten M.
