Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Went to The Lakes over the weekend.
Moody B&W of Derwent Water. Looks like rain. It rained.

Derwent Water from Friar's Crag

Got up early this morning, was at Bassenthwaite by 0430.

Bassenthwaite Sunrise Reflected
New #2 is striking. Very nice.
New Very good! But 0430 is uncivilized. :)

"There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that "my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge."”

-- Isaac Asimov
New --but in order for us lay-a-beds to remain civilized
the few, the intrepid, the promiscuously-Energetic sacrifice their cicadian rhythms, lest..
more of us turn to Republicanism--and poison Their planet, too.

(Should not each us who have gamed-the-System and have excessive digital-$$, purchase at least one of these eloquent reminders of, What is Now at Stake?

(well.. unless you really Need-it.. for Cats? say) ;^>
New Thanks all.
We stayed in Keswick at the Salisbury Guest House, which I cannot recommend highly enough.

I'm fortunate that this scenery is just a couple of hours away by car - a shade too far for a summer sunrise, but when sunrise is 8 o'clock in the winter? Daytrips ahoy!
New #2 is now my tablet wallpaper
Thanks
New Well, blimey.
The Bassenthwaite shot got "explored" on Flickr.

20K views, 1K faves in 24 hours.

Obviously, I am now rich beyond the dreams of avarice, and am having my man type this up whilst I sip an ambrosia smoothie from a crystal goblet clutched twixt the heaving bosom of the Tuesday morning lovely.
New Excellent!
New Wow...
Now we have good reason to dislike you now.

We disliked you before you were rich and uppity.

Seriously, have fun with your work... nobody else will. Congrats!

New Thanks
This one's been Explored, too; that's two for two!

It doesn't actually mean much, other than that an inscrutable robot decided it was "interesting".

However, it's nice to see people not just looking at the photo that made it onto the Explore page and then moving on, but also having a good look through my other stuff.
