Are We in Another Tech Bubble?
In a letter to investors this week, top Wall Street hedge fund manager David Einhorn warned "we are witnessing our second tech bubble in 15 years." Market watchers point to soaring venture capital investments and the recent billion-dollar sales of tech companies Oculus and WhatsApp, which some observers say were overvalued. We've had a huge accumulation of wealth in a few companies. With lots of cash, these big companies have been making very large numbers of acquisitions, literally buying 10-20 small companies per year. Think Apple, Cisco, etc. What we are seeing is mainly not a tech bubble but rather something like a land grab, the land in question being software and hardware patents. This consolidation of property and power into a few large corporations has shut out the rest of the market. Investors, in their desperation to gamble before everything is bought up, have fixated on remaining high-risk options like Kandy Krush.

Why not? Nobody--with any regulatory power--is Watching, apparently.. nor caring. That last one was sooo long ago.
May Econ Science save us! (again, like last time.) Given holding-companies, can anyone even parse who owns what, (or if the holding companies are all owned by Kochs?)
