New "Shape" is here.

A thoroughly diplomatic fellow.

RIP Jim.

Cheers,
Scott.
New Wow.. looka all those local-boffins
memorialized, including er, Tablizer IIRC--with his own introductory-aside ;-)
(But nary a word about whether the Index List of all library contents belongs IN the library (or, in the meta-library.))

Youse guys is ALL warped, y'know?
New :-(
New Re: Remember Jim Wierich? R.I.P.
Am quite ignorant of this man's work, but at least recognized the name. A sweet tribute noted at http://www.neo.com/
Seems that he was a Teacher, thus quite beyond ... even a Zen-grade coder.
So for many of you, this might be an equivalent (for me) of hearing that Sergei Nakariakov had been crushed in a VW-Beetle somewhere :-/

Condolences.. so young; maybe took less care of body than, mind(?) as one responder opined. He looked older..
Startled.. to see this entry in the links above; poster's Icon is from a Vincent! (petrol tank) Synchronicity yada

Oh all the money that e'er I had, I spent it in good company
And all the harm that e'er I've done, alas, it was to none but me
And all I've done for want of wit to memory now I can't recall
So fill to me the parting glass, good night and joy be with you all

Oh all the comrades that e'er you've had, they are sorry for your going away
And all the sweethearts that e'er you've had, they would wish you one more day to stay
But since it falls unto your lot that you should rise and we should not
You'll gently rise and you'll softly call good night and joy be with you all

Bye Jim

New R.I.P., Jim Wierich!

“There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that "my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.”

New Thoroughly nice chap, as I recall
And only 57, too. That's no age to go.
