New 18 February 1943
http://www.dailykos....-18-February-1943

Seventy-one years ago today, Sophie Scholl and her brother Hans were arrested at the University of Munich for dropping leaflets protesting the evils of the Third Reich.

Sophie, Hans, their friend Christoph Probst, and several others were members of the White Rose, a group Hans and three fellow medical students founded to declare opposition to the Hitler regime and rally the resistance movement.

There actually were German protesters.. Haven't found anything resembling a guess as to what fraction of 1% of the population these were.
Sieg Heil Sophie! et al.

New Zooks. Thanks.
New Thanks for that.
In the film, "Downfall", Traudl is interviewed in the opening minutes of the film, if interested.
New Loved The Line..
which you cross-over only in irrevocable peril.

Superb editing and The Line (itself) would receive kudoes
from Edward Tufte, graphics Guru of the Century. I wot.

Thanks for saving this; who'd have thought, in pre-Shogunate times
just how perfectly congruent it is in 2014, right here in River City.
