New hey nother, thoughts?

15k max long term. at <2% over 30 years one could pay for 1 years rent in the trailer park. Think it is a waste of time. Cost of setting the program up will be larger than any savings accrued by folks using the program.

New The cost should be tiny.
It's a safe, inexpensive savings vehicle sorta like the TSP G Fund - https://www.tsp.gov/...rformance_G.shtml

It isn't going to help people who are broke, but it will help people not get ripped off by banks that penalize small accounts and small contributions.

Yeah $15k isn't much. But once one has that much saved, it's much easier to investigate other options.

Lots of these government investment vehicles for individuals have limits. E.g. $10k for Series EE Savings Bonds - http://www.treasuryd...s/res_e_bonds.htm

It's not a lot, but it's something.

Cheers,
Scott.
New thanks
