It was how you think a NYE party should be.

The beer flowed, the songs played, we laughed, we sang Auld Lang Syne, that bloke danced (oh man, did he dance - all night: canned heat in his heels, baby), there were friends and everything.

I've not been out on NYE for a decade or more, because it has a habit of turning a bit shit, but I'll be damned if I didn't enjoy every single second.

Weird thing, though: my wife appears to have turned into a Guinness drinker.
