Are you upgrading?
Personally, I think I'll hang on to my Nexus 4 for a while yet.

Dunno.
If the KitKat features work well with the Nexus 4 I may wait a while. I've also been looking at the new Nexus 7 and as we don't have a modern tablet that may make more sense...
But also I see that Sprint will have the Nexus 5 with unlimited lifetime data for $149 (with a new contract) so that may make me finally jump to replace my Palm Treo755p. (We've only used the Nexus 4 on trips.) Sprint's new LTE variation sounds great (assuming they ever have enough money to make it more than a tiny niche market). :-/ KitKat sounds neat. It may finally allow Google Wallet to breakout - http://www.androidpo...ation-workaround/ Decisions, decisions... Cheers, Scott. |

Interesting thread at Balloon-Juice.
dread pirate mistermix ordered a Nexus 5 and thinking about cheap service plans. kzoostout has some good information - http://www.balloon-j.../#comment-4695811
53. kzoostout says: That's amazing! I'd never heard of FreedomPop. Lots of tiny gadgets that may be useful for data (if one can get an appropriate public signal) - e.g. http://www.freedompo...eedom-spot-photon Of course, nothing is really "free" and one has to watch the caveats. But it's intriguing... Options are good! Cheers, Scott. |

Note this will stop working in 2014.
Google's changing the way 3rd party apps can interact with Google Voice. Things are in transition, but after May 15, 2014 things like GrooveIP will stop working.
http://www.theverge....ty-apps-next-year One shouldn't assume that "free" calling/service solutions will exist without changes... (Which makes sense - after all, TANSTAAFL.) Cheers, Scott. |
