1 cu.ft. of Martian Dirt == 2 pints water.
For reference, Earth's has more than 2 quarts.
From other article I've been reading, there are indications that Mars has a lot more water a few feet down, having a thick water "permafrost" layer.
Also detected, thick seasonal surface layers of CO2 frost on the surface in some spots.
