To put it nicely, I'm quite disgusted by this judge, and the way the legal and political systems are handling Intellectual Property issues.
The issue should be what rights citizens have under the law; if allowing those rights (such as backups, time shifting, etc) allows people to break the law, then that's the MPAA's problem. You shouldn't be allowed to remove our rights just because some one else may (or will) break the law.

Secondly, I don't believe in the MPAA/RIAA doom and gloom scenarios.
