Interesting.

I hope it does well, and I hope Google prices it in such a way that they get a good buzz and make enough money to ramp up production quickly. Apple did fine with their $600 iPhone v1. Glass is new and exciting and deserves a premium price for early adopters. They don't want to be in a position like the Nexus 4 where they can't keep them in stock for weeks on end (for whatever reason). Making it too cheap could kill it just as quickly as making the price too high.
