My husband and I recently fell prey to a scam perpetrated by our long-term mobile, landline, TV and Internet provider, Verizon. We innocently strolled into a local Verizon retail outlet a few months ago to see about upgrading my husbandÂs old clamshell-style crap-phone so he could stop writing notes on paper, photographing them and sending that in lieu of text messages. A more credulous pair of bumpkins has never been so effectively swindled by such a brazen pack of bald-faced liars. [...] A truly righteous rant. Cheers, Scott. (Who probably will never trust Verizon/Verizon Wireless, no matter how good their wireless service is in our area.)

I wish Google would get its fricking act together so I can buy my 4th Nexus 4 and be done with Verizon completely (wifey is still a hanger-on). I've had only 1 issue with ST so far, but it looks as though they took care of it (their proxy was blocking data connections in one area, but apparently no longer is, when connected to the slower EDGE network). Our "base" price with Verizon for 2 phones w/data, 2 w/out, 700 shared minutes and unlimited text was just over $280.00. With ST, all 4 w/data, unlimited talk/text is $180.00. Going home, there were two places with Verizon I could count on no service at all with 100% repeatability. Now, I have service all the way home. For me, ST is such a better deal than Verizon that I'm swallowing hard and coping with the fact that I am feeding the Walmart monster.
