The biggest non-event ever.
The "tentative NHL agreement." This will be the first year since 1992 that I have not gone to the Joe and at least one other NHL barn. I'm seriously done with them. I've never not had a great time in Grand Rapids, so I'm an AHL fan for life. Gary freaking Bettman needs to resign. During his tenure there has never been a time when a CBA expired that there wasn't a lock-out. Including losing an entire season one year. Heck, the guy doesn't even know geography. The Jets are in the Eastern Conference, but there are no less than six teams geographically east of Winnipeg that are in the Western Conference! He is completely incompetent notwithstanding that he's doing exactly what the owners want. That isn't his job. He doesn't represent the owners. He supposed to represent the league and he has completely trashed it.
