Welcome to IWETHEY!

New 24" is a good size.
I still think 30" is probably the limit for a desk monitor (unless one is doing CAD or something). But something that big is out of my league unless I win the lottery or something.

I've got a 24" HP IPS screen at home that I like, but the colors in Winders are wonky due to the larger color gamut. http://www.amazon.co...tor/dp/B001FS1LLI It was around $550 when I got it, IIRC. I hope it lasts a long time.

Enjoy!

Cheers,
Scott.
New Windows 8 lets you calibrate the colours...
...like in OS X.

It comes out a bit weird, TBH. A bit bright and oversaturated for my liking, compared to OS X on the same computer.

I've been through the calibration process a couple of times, with the room light and dark, and the outcome's the same.

Proper hardware calibration required, I think.
