New I know, I know...
The implications are big.

But why again does the US really need to be the World Police again?

If the Countries that need to step up and respond back... don't/can't/won't... why should we step in a do it... "because we always have" is probably the answer.

Yes, I know there are only a few that could put up a stink about it. Yes, I know we are going to have to respond. Yes, I know we are going to have to spend yet even MORE money.

Some time in the future, we are going to need to stop have a Military budget (including "Black/Top" Secret projects) that tops the next 23 countries!

Yes, the next largest 23 countries military budgets combined just equal what we spend for ours alone. Over half of our budget is Military.

New Exactly my point.
In fact China wants to cut a Strait across Isthmus of Kra, They want to pay for it...

I mean really, the stuff going through that Strait, is on mainly Persian to East Asian destinations and from East Asia to Persian/African destinations.

China would be cutting its own throat. People would just go around the strait and many do already. It adds distance... but whatever.

New Complex question
But why again does the US really need to be the World Police again?
That is actually a complex question. But a lot of the answer is that the US has the power to act as World Police and has worked hard to keep anybody else from getting that kind of power.

New "because we always have" is probably the answer.
Which is sorta the same one you gave.
