Not a good way to handle...
35,000 songs.
It stalls for over 15 minutes upon startup, even on a very recent machine. Doesn't matter if they are imported into iTunes or just imported into the library being left as an external music song. Plus I don't particularly like the fact its been known to compile on "non Darwin" Unix... very easily for some time, but will not be released on anything except OSX and Windows. --
