Welcome to IWETHEY!

New I quite agree.
It should be something more convenient. Ctrl+Tab springs to mind as a good alternative*, if the Moz veterans could tell if this can be easily changed and how.

Wade.

* Opera supports this key, BTW, though most Opera users use Opera's own custom keys for flipping through windows (1 and 2).

New Ctrl-Tab would probably be 'naughty'
with regard to Windows, anyway, as the tabs aren't really windows of an MDI.
But yeah, it took me forever to figure out it was ctrl-PgUP/Dn - tried many combinations of keys before I found it.

New But NS doesn't have an MDI mode.
Although since the tabs a bit like full window MDI mode, Ctrl+Tab would make sense.

Besides, Windows itself doesn't consider Ctrl+Tab special; AFAIR, the MDI handling is done almost entirely by the client (or a client library).

New Er, that was my point
But that point was made on the assumption that Ctrl+Tab was a 'reserved' Windows mechanism for switching between the D's of an MDI.

Does Ctrl+Tab have some kind of common use in the X windowing system world? (or any other non-Windows world) If so I guess it'd explain why Moz doesn't use it.

New Oh. Ah. Right. Okay.
As regarding MDI in Windows, yeah - to Windows itself, Ctrl+Tab is a reasonably ordinary keystroke.

I myself haven't encountered Ctrl+Tab in the X Windows world. Note I'm not trying to be unfair to the Moz developers, but I find it completely in character for the project to have chosen Ctrl+PgUp/Ctrl+PgDn instead of considering Ctrl+Tab.

New I'm working on it
It should be something more convenient. Ctrl+Tab springs to mind as a good alternative*, if the Moz veterans could tell if this can be easily changed and how.

I'm working on it, I've figured out where the tab key bindings are, and how bindings are supposed to be set. But so far my trying to override them has just messed up Mozilla.

My last try set the height of the login window to 0 and reset my EMail configuration. So I know it's reading my changes, but not quite doing what I want.
