New 122 pound printer?!?
I'm getting the itch to get a color postscript printer to hang off my network. This K-M 4695MF sounds pretty good - http://www.bhphotovi...tion_Printer.html

It's $450 at the moment (plus shipping). It's got pretty good specs, duplex printing, an ADF for the scanner that does 2-side scanning, etc., etc. The print resolution isn't fabulous, but only inkjets seems to have high color print resolution so that's not unexpected. Toner cartridiges are ~ $100 each, so replacing them is about same cost as the printer. :-/

But zooks, it weighs 122 pounds! :-(

Decisions, decisions...

The USB to Ethernet print server mentioned here - http://iwt.mikevital....iwt?postid=65317 - is a very nice little box. I have 2 of them for our Canon i550 inket and our Lexmark E234 B&W laser. I can print to both printers from our XP and Win7 boxes, and from all of our Macs (running Leopard and Snow Leopard), and Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.

No more "Did I log into the correct server first?" "Is it going to print one page correctly then spit out half a ream of pages with lines of control characters?"

It's nice to not to have to spend $500+ to have printing Just Work® again.
