New old file retrieval, Mac OS division
I've just been saddled with an old "Mac Classic" running OS (or "System," as we would have called it back in the day) 6. It works, has an internal HD and a SCSI port. Provided I retained the software driver on floppy, this unit should be able to retrieve some TIFF files trapped since 1988 on a "Bernoulli Box" 10MB removable cartridge. Hurrah!

nostalgically,
New Good luck!
New sometimes the job is just fun

New Office turned upside down; driver found
Now I have to reassemble the joint.

Gawdamighty, the "Bernoulli Box" is massive. Sucker weighs about 35 pounds. I brought the Mac Classic in over the weekend; will likely not have time this week to mate CPU, peripheral, removable media and driver (taking off for the remainder of the month after Friday). If every element plays nice, It'll be interesting to see how these images (digitized from photos via a "DEST PC 1020" flatbed scanner in 8-bit greyscale) look in Photoshop, assuming the files haven't succumbed to bitrot.
