Wow
Jump past the whiny question and get to the answer.
Well worth it. |

But will nVidia get the message?

They *ALMOST* had it about 5-6 years ago...
But when ATI merged/was bought by AMD... that kinda went out the Window.
They really only aim at Windows... and OSX just happens to play along. I used to get stunning 3D stuff out of nVidia cards. Now, I make sure I only get Intel Graphics, maybe ATI. I purchased my Lenovo T61 5 years ago just as it played out. |

Refreshing to hear him in the Gates/Balmer era.

'I like being outrageous at times..
... I like being offensive at times because, I believe that people who like being offended, should be offended.."
Love. It. Great seeing/hearing his persona 'live'; written word would lose a lot. I missed some significance re. word, "micro-code?" in his comments on 'C', but surmised that this was about his having inserted machine-language code direct, at certain time-critical places? --and that (serendipitously!) ... later-on, as n=many processors became available, meant: Linux was able to Scale, (without say, some special/tweaked kernel.) Was that it? And he got his digs in, re the One Kernel for ALL re The Beast's assertion that, ~"they were heading there with Doze-8" ==per LT: That's bullshit! Overall; how utterly REFRESHING, eh? |
