- 10GB hard drive with storage for thousands of songs or three full length movies
- 256MB memory
- four inch, high-resolution super bright VGA color LCD
- Synaptics touchscreen
- Advanced lithium polymer battery
- 1394 FireWire, USB, audio out, OQO-link docking connector, microphone
- Built in 802.11 and Bluetooth wireless networking
- 4.9" x 2.9" x 0.9" / 105mm x 74mm x 22mm; less than 9 oz. / 250 grams
Looks interesting - wonder how well Linux would work on it.

Re: Nice unit - also rem that Linus works for transmeta
So one would expect a good Linux performance.
I suspect the price of this unit is going to restrict it to business. But, it is very nice. Here in HK we are seeing more & more supeer sub-notebooks but almost all have WinCE. Prices of them are very high though
The Japanese are the ones building what we see here.

Page non-rendering:
I get an image icon in top-L corner and a blank background with varied shades of green. Looked at source: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "[link|http://www.w3.org/TR/1999/REC-html401-19991224/loose.dtd"|http://www.w3.org/T...4/loose.dtd"]> <html> <head> <title>OQO</title> </head> <frameset rows="100%,*" frameborder="0" border="0" framespacing="0" noresize> <frame src="homepage.html" name="OQO_main" marginwidth=0 marginheight=0 scrolling=auto> <frame src="filler.html" name="OQO_inventory" marginwidth=0 marginheight=0 scrolling=no>
</frameset>
</html> For sheer curiosity.. I tried to save the .gif image (which would not display). Error: The link could not be saved. The web page might have been removed or its name changedMozilla .9.9 (emptying both caches - no effect) Oh well.. Ashton sounds like a natual for the miniaturization fetishists - with good eyesight.

It's a Shockwave page. Works with Moz 0.9.9/Win here.

Thanks - checked.
Noted that in 9.9 Plug-in Help even, needs #^#% jscript ON, so did. It said I had the nul plug-in, and 2 flavors of Shockwave (+ Acrobat). THEN above worked! after a reload.
D'Oh. So I guess I have some sort of jscript working, even if I didn't specifically download JRE 1.4 from Mozilla (or wherever Moz. sends one to obtain it).
Gracias,
Ashton

Ash: FYI
javascript != java (despite the similarity in name)

Sorta knew that, but..
imagined there might be a mysterious collaboration between the java 'engine' and the less arcane world of scripts -- how else to explain the non-op of my 9.9 on some sites where: mouseover indicates clear jscript text. Enable jscript. Reload. Yet Moz can't implement same (?) And it's Real New too!
("Mysterious collaboration" - that technical term analogous to the AMA's famous, You have "non-specific ____-itis". $180 please.)

And just to be difficult, jscript isn't javascript
Roughly put, jscript was/is the M$ version of Javascript. M$innovation step one: confuse the enemy. :)
On and on and on and on, and on and on and on goes John.

Now my head hurts..
But it also may explain the occasional site wherein the "jscript" is unrecognized by the .9.9 interpreter = no action. If it's a "Best Viewed with IE" sycophant site - well... (though I haven't seen That horror display in a long time)
AAarrGGgghhhh - jscript AND javascript [and Java VM].
Screw it..
