I follow both my Congresswoman (Judy Biggert, R) and my Senators (Dick Durbin, D, and Mark Kirk, D) on Twitter.

Today, the latest jobs figures were released. The current sub-headline/top story on CNN.com reads thusly: Employers added 227,000 jobs in February, better than experts expected. The jobless rate held steady at 8.3%.

So those are the numbers, as stated by the government (note: I'm taking CNN.com at face value as factual, no spin implied either way. Just numbers.)

Here are the latest tweets that I've seen from Congresswoman Biggert and Senator Durbin in response to those numbers:

@JudyBiggert : Unemployment above 8 percent for 37 months. Senate must pass #JOBSAct to put Americans back to work. http://tinyurl.com/7w4bp4v

@SenatorDurbin : 23mos of straight private sector #job creation & 10 quarters of economic growth—we're working to turn #economy around http://pic.twitter.com/ltz7hzYg
