Thanks for the link.

It's not such a bad thing, really. Thanks in part to technology, the internet and what-not, we have begun to understand that 'cultures' are not superior to one another, and that we aren't all that 'excellent' in many areas. We're all in this together, like it or not. When bridges collapse (Minneapolis) and other infrastructure need maintenance (asphalt roads being converted back to gravel, for example), it begins to dawn on us that being really good at something requires energy and resources. We are squandering ours (blood and treasure) and not getting much ROI.
