I set up my 3 Atari systems in the driveway last night for National Night Out http://www.atariage....tional-night-out/ During the evening one of the neighbors hit me up that his wife's computer is popping up a window asking for a credit card to "clean the computer". I told him I wasn't that familiar with Windows, but would see if I could find something to help. Checking around today I ran across AVG Rescue CD. Anybody familiar with it, or have something better to recommend? http://www.avg.com/gb-en/avg-rescue-cd Thanks!

I suspect it would work on this, but I haven't tried it with an obviously compromised machine. http://www.safer-net...org/en/index.html Donationware for SBS&D. If I have to twaddle around with anything else now a day I just backup needed data, then reformat and re-install completely. Seems that Microsoft is pushing out the security vendors now, just like they did with everything else. Oh well... sucks to compete with Microsoft in the commercial realm.
