Yep, see that here as well
a large mass of water is also a nice stabilizer for the temperature. Dallas, a 4 hour drive north of Houston, is almost always hotter in the summer and colder in the winter than we are.

O-Town isn't bad either.
We're inland, but only 50 miles or so. (Of course, it's the humidity, not the heat that's nasty in Florida) I think we've hit triple digits before...but just barely: Yep, was right - 102.
Now, look at Pen and Gainville. :-) http://www.sercc.com...l/recordhigh.html But we're in much better shape than Texas. |

O-town gets still..which combined with the humidity makes it somewhat oppressive during the "season".
