Summary:
iPad apps are inconsistent and have low feature discoverability, with frequent user errors due to accidental gestures. An overly strong print metaphor and weird interaction styles cause further usability problems.

Consistency and explorability are important, and he certainly made many good points.

However, while all of that is important, I wouldn't want UI's to be stuck in 1987 for the next 30 years. http://en.wikipedia....ommon_User_Access

A new platform needs to be able to grow and evolve, and the iPad certainly is a good foundation.
