New Not quite it
What I'm looking for is to know that when you're in a certain folder, your mail will go out as user "foo@example.com", but in all other folders, it will go out as "bar@example.com". This is configurable under, eg: mutt, as a folder-hook. Does Eudora have a similar option?

Seems that there is the ability to select who you want to send mail as from the "From" dialog. This would appear to address most of the concerns we've got.

What part of "gestalt" don't you understand?
New Re: Not with filters.
For outbound messages the filters actions occur after the message is sent.

There may be another way besides manually selecting the personality, but if so, I don't know what it is.

Manually, while in a New Message one clicks on From: to get the selection of defined personalities. But, that's not what you asked for.
