Reviews are uneven, but I've never had trouble with it with a drive that was recognized by the OS.

Some complain that there can be issues as that particular one "doesn't support the full ATA spec". Also someone mentions needing to update smartmontools - http://www.newegg.co...=1&Keywords=linux
