New Firewall choices?
I'm looking to implement a external/dmz/internal firewall setup for a small company. Max 30 internal connections going to the web, about the same coming in for remote email access. The DMZ will contain inbound email and possibly light web site, the major web site will be COLOed/hosted outside.

I need to use a brand name, preferably Cisco. I did a bit of PIXing years ago, but killed them in favor of home brewed BSD firewalls. Not an option here.

So I need to know the least expensive cisco implementation I can put in.

Any direction of device/model/expected price?

New Point me to a model please
I've used the web-proxy-filter a couple of jobs ago.
I'm not sure what on their site is the starting firewall, packet filter, etc.

For Cisco, you're pretty much looking at the ASA 5505... about $350 and go up.

However, the 5505's and 5510's are currently on 90-120 day backorder from Cisco.

I'd look at the barracuda. Never used them, but they do look pretty decent, and we considered them before.
New Vyatta.

I've tried some of their free downloads. They seem to work really well on moderate hardware you can pickup for under $1000 (including a couple of 4 port NICs)

They have a pretty good interface and seems to work well enough.

My only problem is... I've not used it in production. So keep that in mind.

Of course I may like it partly because I agree with it...
