Post #324,845 by boxley 4/19/10 11:43:37 AM Reply	nevermind re-install 26 got it when you rip out the network with a vmware-config.pl and reinstall the network apparently deep in the guts it holds its old info that needs the fekking gui to remove then re-add as well. grrrr If we torture the data long enough, it will confess. Post #324,847 by Andrew Grygus 4/19/10 11:51:10 AM Reply	Yeah, when I was installing Debian . . . . . as a VM Ware client I had to recompile the kernel - and then Debian couldn't see the CDROM drive, which we needed. About the 15th clean-up, reinstall and compile it finally worked. I don't know why it worked that time. I told my client I didn't know why it worked that time. His response was, "I don't care. It's working. Ship it!".
