New Why does my computer keep beeping at me?
About 10 minutes ago I heard a beep from my speakers. It's obviously some kind of notification. I didn't recognize it. I've heard it several more times since then, and can't find any visual notifications in any running app or panel widget.

This is driving me nuts. Any ideas how to find it? (Ubuntu)

New CLT-ALT-F1
The console will show you any errors.

Or from a xterm window.

less /var/log/messages

or

less /var/log/syslog

etc...
New Nothing there ... and it's stopped
That's going to keep bugging me now. Grrr.
