When we had health and welfare inspections, we were sent to stand in front of our doors until they showed up. No one was allowed in the room from the time it was announced until your room was inspected and cleared.

The one time we got a little heads-up, I hauled ass back to the room, took the vent cover off the A/C duct, stuffed the toaster oven and hot plate in there, and had the screws back on about five minutes before we got a knock on the door.

The bar was set up behind a panel over the wall lockers that we had rigged months earlier, so we weren't worried about the booze.
