Can't work on dry land.
It's only useful if you can guarantee it won't have to go over a plowed lot. I'd suspect even going over much exposed rock would be bad.
I wonder how traction compares to a similar-sized tread on various surfaces.

Saw where they ran it on grass
The title card said they were testing the durability of the materials, and that it was for emergency use only. Did the do it again after that first time?
