I was cruising along, happy that the conversion to WordPress was going more smoothly than expected. (You see this coming. I know. Shut up.) Then I noticed it didn't pick up all the comments. Hell, it didn't pick up most of them.
Depending on the whims of I-Know-Not-What, the count the Blogger API returns shows anywhere from 108 to 4732 comments. But in no circumstance will it allow me properly import more than about 243.
The Blogger export utility is supposed to dump the whole blog -- posts and comments -- as an XML file. I tried it twice. Got two identically-sized files that were, however, different from each other, and both ended in mid-tag.
The comment feed, which is how the automated import tool gets them, only shows the last 200.
If I have to wget the whole site and write a scraper for this I'm going to be pissed.
