You have to set up a Google account. No problem - except: you can't set up a Google account unless you have a texting cell-phone. Period. No exceptions. Their instructions say if you don't have one you have to use someone elses. Well, my antique cell phone doesn't text - so this store lost the sale.

And IIRC signing up to Gmail requires an SMS-capable phone, if you don't have an invite or some other way to verify your identify. Wade. Q:Is it proper to eat cheeseburgers with your fingers? It also allows you to send SMS messages to other Motorola iDEN Phones. In reviews I've seen - http://www.streettec...gadget/i1000.html , it mentions that the phone can do SMS.
