Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Start work today
Recalled for a 1 (one) month gig. Maybe longer. Different team, so different work. 15% pay cut, but better than unemployment!

I did find out that the reason I was let go, and have not been recalled. Can't go into detail in a public forum, but suffice to say, politics. (No, I didn't learn my lesson. Work ethic is still important to me.)

Anyway, even if it's only a one month gig, it will allow me to catch up on my wife's medical bills. If it lasts two months I might even be able to get my truck running again (needs new motor).

Finally, a little good news.

Oh, for those of you into photography, please take a look at my links and let me know what you think of my photography efforts.

New I'm... I'm speechless!
First... of course it was politics!
Second... nice job on the photos.

Its amazing what one can find in the rough.
New Great news!
It's always easier to get more work when you're working. I hope it's a sign of better things to come. :-)

Your photos are very well done. It looks like everyone had a great time with you.

One small suggestion: It's hard to implement with portraits, and I think it's easy to go overboard, but I think it's a good rule of thumb not to center the subjects in the frame. The brain apparently finds things in photos more interesting if they're about 1/3 offset. Don't be mechanical about it, though.

Have fun!

Cheers,

New Re: Start work today
neat pics, wish I was closer, I have a running motor rusting away in my yard
New Engine
What size?

I need a 4.6L or someone who can put in a different engine. I have a '97 F-150.

If you have the right size and could install it, I would seriously consider taking time off and driving my truck down there. Just need to carry a lot of water (badly leaking frost plug) and hope that the misfiring in cyl 8 doesn't get too bad. (low/no compression in 8, and low in a couple of other cyl.) ONLY 280,000 on the engine. Just replaced the tranny and transfer case...
New 351 windsor
cost of coming down here and conversion would be more than some shade tree guy up there would charge. Is there a dirt race track anywhere close by? That is where you would find a cheap drop n go. Check junk yards, they often know someone who can do it on the cheap. My buddy in oregon hangs around the local junk yards looking for people who need stuff like that done. I could do the work but am considerably slower than someone who does it all the time. Might be all you need is a fresh head gasket and a $6.00 tube of glerk will cure the freeze pug problem
http://www.asealepox.../5MinuteEpoxy.htm something like that hotter plugs in cyl 8 could also help
New What is Glerk?
Frost plug is unreachable. Have to pull engine to get to it. Have tried the stuff added to water and antifreeze. No help. Is Glerk same as JB Weld?

I may be able to work hand up to the plug, but no way to get tools to pull old and replace with new plug.
New this stuff is like a 2 toned playdough jb weld
rub together in hnd until uniform in color then roll into a point and insert into the leaking freeze plug. I have used it for that, leaking gas tanks while still leaking and radiators. Wonderful stuff.
New with the recent demise of the kia
and the fact I am 5k underwater on it I may have to get the bigvan back on the road again
New Good stuff.
and great photos. Have another friend that moved from radio to photography, have known him since I was a tyke...he has an extremely unique style...

He's how I know...I take pictures, he's a photographer :-)
I will choose a path that's clear. I will choose freewill.
