Others requested that Billy Graham's column in the newspaper be dropped or equal space be given to every major non-Christian religion.
At the time the expressway was named, I objected because Billy Graham is 1) an idiot and 2) not dead yet.
He is an idiot because he said, while behind the Iron Curtain back in the 1970's or 1980's, that they had freedom of religion. It is not that I am in favor of any particular religious belief or practice, but the language should not be corrupted. My comment then was we might as well call the expressway Communist Worker Way.
In general, naming things after people who are still alive leaves you open to wishing you hadn't when they screw up royally. This is obviously such a case. Let's face it, the guy's a thinly disguised megalomaniac.
