New Interesting article

The guy want to kick out Muslims from Denmark.
New Very interesting, indeed. Thanks.
New I certainly agree with him - based on what I've read . . .
. . of Muslim society in Europe.

The situation seems much different here in Los Angeles, or at least in the San Fernando Valley. I see no need to kick out the Muslims we have here.

I think there are a number of reasons for this. First, such a large portion of our Muslims came from Iran. Secondly I think the reason most came to California is to get away from just the sort of culture described in the article. Most seem reasonably well educated and willing to adapt.

Before 9/11 I saw plenty of women in the Sunland Produce market wearing black tents. The face was never covered, though, and they seemed very loosely escorted by men. After 9/11 the tents disappeared totally. I see plenty of women with scarves loosely draped over their heads now, but the tents seem gone for good.

It is my hope that a moderate Islam will develop in the U.S. and eventually spread, but the situation in Europe is much different. They're on the front lines and reasons for migration there are much different. I think there should be very strong restrictions on migration from Islamic cultures there.

Turkey may or may not be an exception, I don't know enough to say at this point. The Turks we have here are well behaved.

New pay them to go home hmmmm
New In the US, his boat would be named "Miss Akia"
Integration goes both ways. If a society decides to reject a minority group, then no matter what that group does, integration becomes impossible and someone somewhere will be able to come up with statistics that prove said group should be driven out.

The specific details below apply to Belgium, but in general the same goes for the rest of Europe.

Xenophobia still rules, and that goes back decades. The 1st generation he talks about were workers imported to do the dirty work. The second generation are their children, who, unlike in the US, were not citizens of the country they were born in, but retained the nationality of their parents. Only when the third generation approached the age of 18 were changes made to the immigration laws to give them citizenship, and confer citizenship to children of longtime residents.

Until that happened, police were very vigilant to verify the immigration documentation of those who appeared "out of place" at every turn. So for 50+ years, for this group, the color of their skin was sufficient reason to be stopped at every other street corner. The general population did its part by making sure those furriners couldn't come anywhere near their daughters by making sure the only jobs available to them were things like unprotected chemical clean-up (for how that went, see "Ganz Unten" by Guenter Wallraff.)

In general, no action is taken against discrimination. E.g. The Addeco temp agency got caught racially profiling candidates at the request of their clients. Nothing ever happend beyond a slap on Addeco's wrists. None of the employers were ever taken to court. That was in 95-01, but things haven't gotten much better. Now that e-mail is available to make an ass out of yourself, various employers shot themselves in the foot when their rejection memos got attached to the "don't call us" response to the applicant. (Best one so far, "The dog gets aggressive around dark skin".)

This has led to a situation where 20-30% unemployment rates are commonplace among young people of foreign descent. Criminality soared, but compared to say, post-CCCP Russian and Albanian imports, it is fairly tame stuff. With no way out and a society that shuns them at every possible turn, this group is turning ever more in on itself. Adding more fuel to the fire is that the government does not provide for Islam teachers the way they do for Xian, Jewish and secular morality teachers. Imam's are provided by Saudi Arabia instead. No guesses where that road leads to. So, every once in a while, things boil over and riots like those in Argenteuil and beyond result.

So in comes the solution waved around by Sennels. It's not even his. A "Welcome to Europe, now get out" premium has been batted around by various countries and has even been implemented to some extent in the Netherlands. The problem is that the people he wants to kick out are citizens. They have no place to go to. Their family may have its roots in Turkey or Morocco, but the majority has never been there.

Sad fact is that the political inheritors of the wrong side in WW2 have not only made themselves acceptable again, but are fast becoming the largest faction in European politics. Islamic extemism gives them the broad brush they like so much.

New Thanks.
