Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Expected to do that
..should I ever actually Get HS here.

But.. can forget.
How easily can a script be added, to tell OS-X to disconnect port after x-minutes disuse (of kb, mouse - whatever) Maybe with icon in top bar.. for toggle port ON/OFF?

Guess you'd add this to Start-up apps.. but I don't knit, never-mind Perl. Or even purl.
New Heh. It sounds like you want "Freedom".
Speak of the Devil, Sullivan just talked about this yesterday - http://andrewsulliva...internet-off.html

(Quoting Rebecca Traister)
Freedom will disable the networking, only on a Mac computer, for periods of anywhere from one minute to eight hours. No Web sites, no e-mail, no instant messaging, no online shopping, no Facebook, no Twitter, no Jezebel, no iTunes store, no streaming anything. Once it is turned on, as it hilariously claims, "Freedom enforces freedom"; you cannot turn it off without rebooting your computer.

There's probably someone working on a crack for it so that a reboot isn't required. ;-)

Cheers,
Scott.

There are perhaps no more tragic creatures than middle-aged, middle-class tourists, unused to traveling in unfamiliar places, on a lifetime dream vacation.
