This evening I was reading a cookbook that has a recipe calling for 30nl of fish sauce - but I don't have a spoon set that measures in nanoliters! Oh well, I always ignore that metric crap anyway and use the standard measures. 2T seems a much more reasonable amount of fish sauce anyway.
The tablespoon is a nice reliable and easy to proofread measure, 3t the world around - except in Australia where it's 4t. What were they thinking (or drinking)?
