I don't think there will NOT be many 5.x revisions to come.
IOW, 5.x is a long way from anywhere close to dead.

And people complain about PHP...
... and how it (more-or-less) keeps its backwards compatibility. :-)
A previous place of employ was only just considering moving off PHP 4 when I left. :-/
