We got that mess last night
A couple of inches of snow, covered in a nice thick crust of ice. My neighbor Lance is on my porch as I type this chipping away at the ice. I'm still not dressed, eating a Clementine orange and drinking coffee. I feel kinda guilty. But not guilty enough to get out there and help him. It's nasty out there! I think I'll bake him some cookies later today.

Let me clarify
I'm still in my jammies. Plus I'm coloring my hair and my head is covered in red goo. I dont think that is a show anyone wants to see.
Ding! Time to rinse!

Oh please
I had a lovely day yesterday blowing leaves, fixing siding (hmm, started getting cold), and then crawling around on my roof, cleaning gutters, freezing my fingers off in rotting vegetation and gutter water.
Hmmm.
What was my point again?
Oh yeah - just you wait. You'll find that warm Florida weather forces you to replace your rotted roof every 10 years. My mom lives near you, happens to her.
At least I hope there is a downside to justify me being here.

S'ok
If it happens within the first 10 years, the builder pays to fix it.

It's hot in Texas but fixin' to change
Waiting for a cold front to move in. Can't wait! We had nice weather in the 60's and 70's, then it cranked up. Ugh!
I have winter clothes I would like to wear. Down here you learn to dress in layers and keep your shorts and tank tops out year 'round.
BTW, I have 3 sleds of varying sizes displayed in my back yard. Hope springs eternal :-D

Calmed down now
Snowing and blowing all day Saturday. 15 degrees with WC (Wind chill) -15 -25. 6-10" on snow, followed by sleet to coat it all.
And I was outside during the worst of it (10:00-4:00) doing a video shoot. If you know how to dress, it was very tolerable. Almost needed to get my winter clothes out.
Right now it's a balmy 3 degrees, with a WC of -5.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. (Herm Albright)
