Our visit took in Taos, where the friends have three acres outside of town to which they intend to retire in another three to five years, sundry personal and economic variables permitting. D.H. Good old Oakland seemed, even with the new Food Hole, somehow crowded, dirty, tattered after all those mountain vistas upon our return yesterday afternoon.
