Best cotton pickin' version fo VMware I have *EVAR* used.

The VMs will work in a XEM domU, as long as you set them up as an older version of VMware (like Work Station 4 I think)

This hypervisor stuff is frickin COOL!

I'm working on making 4 machine out of two machines, mainly because of a legacy APP that can be clustered but only can use 2.5GB of memory and only 2 processor effectively.

Machines have 2 Quad-Core Processors, 8GB of memory and NICE-n-fast SATAII drives.

Should see a serious increase in capacity.

Best part I like is, it is FREE! Unless you need real support from VMware. Then you pay based on all your machines in your infrastructure using the technology.

edit:

Also the vmware-server-console just plain kicks butt. I can be in Grand Rapids with the hosting machines in ohhhh say Denver and I get CONSOLE access with little or NO lag and full usability.

Its just plain EXCELLENT.
