Voting on Move On ad had the advantage of putting everyone's position clearly on the record (I now know where my dear Senator Dodd stands), but this is stepping on the first amendment rights.

(BePatient, this is an issue on which the senators were quite reluctant to produce sound bites. The vote forced their hands.)

New I agree.
Still, I think the voting time would have been better spent passing real laws...but that may be expecting to much from inside the beltway.
