If you want to give rights to a folder and have those rights propagate to lower folders, you can forget about any explicit rights previously assigned to those lower down folders. Everything gets replaced with the users/rights assigned at the upper level. AAAGGGHHHH!!! Huge mess. Not caused by me, fortunatly. I just get dragged in to help fix it. With this much manure around, there must be a pony somewhere.
