While in sorta documentary format, the editing is sufficiently ept that.. the narrative flows. Litmus - when you momentarily realize it's been an hour, and you never looked at your watch.

For all those too young to recall the Unsafe at Any Speed launch of his career (or to have heard of a Corvair, what he was On about..and what happened with GM management before Congress, etc.) - this will take you swiftly from there, through the '00 and '04 campaigns, the "spoiler" charges: with plenty of +s and -s eloquently presented.

I believe that few of us (incl. moi) have seen so complete a list of the specific issues he fought for and won - and whose results (legislated acts and agencies) which we now take for granted: it's a formidable assemblage. Paeans somewhat balanced with the expected (and able) criticism. Video of his ejection from the ""debates"" makes clear the forces arrayed against any serious effort to launch any 3rd Party to combat the One Party With Two Right Wings / all feathers purchased by Corporate, every time.

Can't pigeonhole one-of-a-kind. I can't think of a single successor candidate - for him, for his utterly non-BS durable prose - and his integrity (whatever one thinks of Real-liff 'tactics' and where, [exactly what sort of Emergency?] might/should trump consistently manifested principles.)

(You'll also hear the scoop on the lawsuit for his borrowing of the CC jingle, "... Priceless!" And winning on all counts.)

There are two DVDs - will see second one next week.
