Prior:
There has been (not quite-) always a hitch-in-the-getalong.. here.
Commenced with an 'improvement' some years back: any clickedon post produces a double-take: quick partial loading .. pause .. a slower reloading and then post is legible.
After various tweaks at your end (I presume - since I made no alterations beyond periodic moz releases), the 'hitch' has varied from barely-noticeable to - many seconds. Rarely.. site has seemed lightning-fast, maybe just after late-night dejunking? - but not always then. That speed doesn't last (for me.)
Yes, still on dial-up. (Ain't THAT cheap, but due to my location -- a tiny GTE-now-Verizon intrusion in county -- no access to ATT $15/mo stuff; only expen$ive cable etc.)
On log-in: any referrer or similar filter left in - gets no log-in box. When that change occurred - character default size became smaller, thus <ctrl> <+> is the rest of the login drill - ever since. (Inured to that, of course.)

Now:
- noticed early AM? PST on Fri.
Clicky on post: the initial 'flash' shows the text momentarily;
the second pass produces a lengthy piece of whitespace.
I mean HUGE: say, scroll bar is < 1/8" high - nada at the bottom, either.
(Fortunately, 'Reply' - works "normally".)
Additionally, and likely a new interaction with the [of-questionable-value] Zoom moz plug-in: the graphics, from iwethey logo --> to the very [LRPD - Itself] {shudder} are also enLARGEd. Setting them to "75%" etc. for normal -- reverts to Big next login. Maybe have to kill that sucker..
Forum list, Active User, Stats: display, quickly - hmm no hitch/getalong there...
Open a post: Flash-text, then All goes white, taking 10?ish seconds to load that Nothing.
Guts:
SeaMonkey, same old P-III, ancient 98SE-Lite. Dialup. No alterations here - nor strangeness seen at other sites. AVG,Ad-Aware etc. clean.
(Haven't logged-in on Mepis, Ubuntu etc. boxes.. this is, after all the Designated surf-junker, kept free of any Interesting data.) Scripts plug-in: is, of course set to allow IWE, with no restrictions. I have only the two plug-ins atop SeaMonkey 1.1.4
I'll try the usual easter-egging, next.. but for now, I'm blind.
Sorry to be the outlier. Again.
